Closing One Chapter
In 17 years so much has changed and so much has gone right and gone wrong. Mistakes have been made and triumphs celebrated.
SNAFU Con 2026 will be the final SNAFU Con.
We are sad to close this chapter. SNAFU Con holds so many memories for so many people. It was our home for so long. We are genuinely sad to see it end.
We're looking to throw the best party we can for SNAFU Con 2026 with the resources we have.
And then we regroup.
Because as sad as we are to close this chapter, we are also excited to start a new one. We're looking to start a new event, built on the bones of the old. A fresh perspective, a fresh take.

Opening the Next
This is an opportunity to try new things, change decisions that affected the path of the event, and just generally shake things up. Some of our long-term staff are retiring. Some are changing their roles. New people are stepping in to try new things.

We already have a lot of excited people throwing fresh ideas at the wall.
New name. New logo. Possibly new dates. Probably smaller in scope. Definitely a new location. New leadership.
And we need new people.
We need people at all levels, from people who want to show up and help with a task to people who want to step up, take ownership, and help lead.
This is still taking shape. That's the exciting part. If you've ever thought you'd like to help build an event like this, this is your chance to come in early and help decide what it becomes.
Come help us build whatever comes next.
