SNAFU Con is an anime convention in the Reno/Sparks area of Nevada. The 2024 con was November 1 - 3, 2024. The 2025 con has not been announced yet.

Hello fellow artists!
As you may have noticed, this con needs new art every year because of our ever-changing theme. So we need your help! SNAFU-con needs art for use on the webpage and internet advertising, as well as on fliers and posters. There's really only two rules... art must be original, and suitable for all ages. Yes, we all love fanart, but it exists in another one of those legal gray-areas and we'd like to bypass the whole issue when using art for advertising purposes.
2024 theme is Science!
As you may have noticed, this con needs new art every year because of our ever-changing theme. So we need your help! SNAFU-con needs art for use on the webpage and internet advertising, as well as on fliers and posters. There's really only two rules... art must be original, and suitable for all ages. 2024 theme is Science!
Technical specs:
Raster Art
Must be *.pdf or *.tiff with transparency and layers preserved! Your character must be on a separate layer - if we have to separate your art from your background we likely won't use it. If possible, please leave the outline as a separate layer, too. (Ideal art is three layers, one for your background, one for your color, one for your outline. Although, the more layers the better.)
Art which might be used on fliers, the con book, etc, must be 300DPI and a canvas of 8"x10". Smaller art will be accepted but might not be used in print, even if we love it.
Vector Art
Must be *.ai or *.eps.

We are no longer accepting *.jpg or *.png files except as a preview for the larger file.
Submissions can be emailed to the Art Director at [email protected]
This email only handles 100MB files, so please use yousendit.com, dropbox, or another file sharing service if you need to send something larger.

Legal stuff
By submitting your work, you give SNAFU con license to use your artwork for SNAFU Con advertising for this and future years. You retain your copyright and all other reproduction rights and all artists will be credited with their name and webpage.

At this time, we have had great difficulty posting images and crediting artists through our webpage. Facebook has prooved to be the easiest way to advertise an artist and their work for us. Below are the current albums we have.
