SNAFU Con is an anime convention in the Reno/Sparks area of Nevada, Friday, October 6th through Sunday, October 8th, 2017 in The Nugget Casino Resort, 1100 Nugget Ave, Sparks, NV 89431.
Hotel registration is now open for SNAFU Con 2017! There are lots of great reasons to get a room even if you're a local – you can handle cosplay emergencies, take a shower, swim in the pool, store your stuff, and maybe even sleep. You'll also get one free upgrade to a VIP badge for each night of your stay. Book before August 18th to lock in these discounted rates.
The room images in the online booking system haven't been updated for the Nugget's recent renovations, so be sure to check the Available Rooms section below before choosing a room. If you want to book more than one room, or if more than two people will be staying in your room, you'll need to click "Guests & Rooms" at the top of the screen after clicking the "Book Now" button.

All prices listed are per night for the first two guests. Each person beyond the first two (up to four) will cost an additional $10 per night. A $12.50 per night resort fee and the 13.5% Washoe County room tax will be assessed in addition to the room rate. You will need to provide a credit card when you register, but it will not be charged until you check in.
VIPs receive special considerations at the convention including priority seating at large events like the masquerade, priority placement in long lines like those at registration or the rave, access to special VIP-only events, free con swag, and discounts at the con store.
The best way to become a VIP is to register for a hotel room with our venue. You'll automatically receive one free VIP upgrade per night of your stay if you register online. If you register by phone or in person, or if you've booked a room outside our group, please email us at with your confirmation number to claim your VIP upgrades. Your hotel registration must be in our group in order to receive your VIP upgrades. You should receive an email within 24 hours of registering your hotel room. If you don't receive the email, please reach out to us at to ensure your room is counted.
You can pass your VIP upgrades on to someone else if you won't be attending or if you have more than you need. To do so email us at . Make sure to do so as soon as possible; we cannot reallocate VIP upgrades at con.
If you don't want a hotel room but you do want to be a VIP you can purchase a VIP upgrade for the price of the hotel's most expensive room-night, currently $124. You will automatically be billed for any upgrades you apply to the badges in your group beyond those you are entitled to from hotel rooms.
